Acoustic Open Mic - Tonight at 6PM

Mike Holliday hosted the open mic. This was his third performance of the day. He filled in for Sharon Abbott at Churchills at 11AM and than performed his gig at 2PM at the coffeehaus.

Jeremy made his first time appearance at the Coffeehaus playing originals and covers. Village Coffeehaus is certified to perform cover songs by the appropriate recording industry bodies.

Joette (part of the duo Amaryllis) played classical guitar and traditional folk songs.

Johnna, the Barista-inChief, of the Village Coffeehaus read selections from her various poetry books.

World Fair Trade Weekend

We are celebrating World Free Trade Day and actually extending it to the whole weekend with special events. Today we are featuring a different different Fair Trade Organic (F/T/O) Single Region Coffees that coincide with our Musicians. This Morning from 10-12 we enjoyed Bolivian with Troy Allen, from 12-2 we had Mexican with Arianne and now we are enjoying Nicaraguan with Sharron Abbott.

We continued with Jeff & Joe the duo who make up Avant Guardians. They were quickly followed up by the Bellwether District featuring Colin Pound in his pin-strip suit. Our Fair Trade Coffee was the Peruvian.

The goal was to raise awareness on this World Fair Trade Day!

And the weather was great!!!

Springfest Musicfest

Central Montgomery County's only Open Mic features unplugged performances by area singer/songwriters. Okay so we have Mike Holliday; Tom Post Jr,;Rick; the guitar player from the Amarlysis duo, joette; Brenda & Jack, and a whole bunch others. We also had michele on the flute.
